Louise Pollock
Louise is the President and Founder of Pollock Communications, an independent food, health and wellness public relations agency based in New York City. She has more than 25 years of experience helping clients develop and implement strategic marketing programs.
Major campaigns for clients have included making the “egg healthy again” for the American Egg Board; making chocolate a “healthy indulgence” by promoting its health benefits for M&M/Mars; and creating awareness of the “health benefits of tea”, and as a result, increasing sales of tea.
Clients have included the American Society for Hypertension, Campbell Soup Company, Cranberry Institute, Cranberry Marketing Committee, General Mills, Gourmet Garden, Kind, Presidents Cheese, Pillsbury, Quaker Oats for PepsiCo, Prestige Brands, Revlon, Tropicana Products, Unilever brands: Country Crock, I Can’t Believe it’s Not Butter, Promise, Wish Bone Dressings, and Breyer’s Ice Cream; USA Rice Federation and Vitamints.
Louise has counseled a host of Fortune 500 companies and has worked extensively in issues management, crisis communications, media relations, media training and association member relations. She has won five Silver Anvils for her work, the prestigious award of the Public Relations Society of America.
Louise also advises clients in the development of global and US based crisis response protocols. She has been a key member of public affairs and crisis teams for major companies.
Louise appears in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who Among Marketing Executives and Who’s Who Among American Women.

Jim Tenny
Jim Tenny, Chief Strategy Officer, is an experienced marketing executive who has served Fortune 500 and middle market companies in planning, strategy, positioning, branding and market analysis. He began his career as a copywriter and brings a unique perspective to the creative process born out of respect for the big idea.
In his role at Pollock Communications, Jim’s vision is to focus on issues that client-side marketers identified as lacking in many current agency models:
- Strong selling ideas that drive proven business results
- Total integration under a single selling platform
- Accountability supported by hard metrics
Over his career he also has dedicated a significant portion of his time to pro bono work. This has included helping to establish the Coalition on Organ and Tissue Donation on behalf of the Ad Council, which was chosen as the Ad Council’s “Volunteer of the Year”. Currently, Jim sits on the board of the CJ First Candle Foundation dedicated to eliminating SIDS, and is on the Executive Leadership Council for Susan G. Komen Greater NYC.

Emily Blasi, Vice President, is Pollock’s lead media relations strategist and crisis communications specialist. Emily keeps an eye out for trends in the media and our clients’ industries to develop creative, newsworthy programs that keep our clients top-of-mind for media and consumers.
